Liposuction on the Abdomen

Liposuction on the abdomen allows for sustainable removal and shaping of unwanted fat deposits on the upper belly and lower belly. Excess fat is gently removed during an outpatient procedure in local anesthesia. If the liposuction on the abdomen is carried out with microcannulas, the result is immediately visible afterwards.

Many patients suffer from unwanted fat deposits on the abdomen (upper belly, lower belly). Not even muscle training usually has any effect on notorious “belly fat”; diets generally do not help much either, because you will lose a couple of kilograms, but not on the abdomen, where you actually want to lose it.

Especially abdominal fat increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, reducing abdominal fat by liposuction or fat-away injection may be therapeutically useful in particular as an accompanying measure of a comprehensive weight loss program.

Say Goodbye to Belly Fat

Unwanted belly fat can be suctioned off using liposuction.

After a detailed consultation, go ahead and schedule a date of your choice for surgery.

Liposuction is carried out on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia in our specially equipped surgery rooms, and takes approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on the extent of the area where liposuction is performed. When using liposculpture, a special form of liposuction, your abdomen will be suctioned exclusively by hand in a way gentle to the tissue. We never use suction machines or scalpels.

Optionally, we use thin microcannulas with a diameter of 1.0 to 2.5 millimeters or regular cannulas with a diameter of 3.0 millimeters upwards.

The Period after Liposuction

After surgery, you will have to wear a bandage for one day only and afterwards, an abdominal corset for 1 to 2 weeks, and in addition an abdominal belt, if liposuction was carried out with microcannulas. If regular cannulas were used, you will need to wear the abdominal corset and the abdominal belt for 4 to 6 weeks.

After liposuction on the abdomen, you normally will be able to go back to work on the day after surgery. To keep your little secret, you should wear loose, comfortable clothing over the abdominal corset and abdominal belt.

If liposuction on the abdomen was carried out using microcannulas, the result will be visible immediately afterwards and if the healing process is optimal, you will be able to do sports normally after approximately 1 to 2 weeks. Based on experience, the healing process takes several weeks longer after liposuction with regular cannulas.

All after photos show the results actually achieved by the treatment. To protect the anonymity of the depicted persons individual physical characteristics (e.g., moles, tattoos) might have been removed.
