Liposuction is suitable for both women and men.
Unwanted belly fat (the typical “man’s belly”) and the well-known “spare tire” around the hips and waist often defy even targeted muscle training. Even slim men sometimes suffer from fat deposits on the chest which can resemble female breasts (pseudogynecomastia). A double chin is frequently regarded as very distressing by those suffering from it.
An Increasing Number of Men Are Having Treatment
Liposuction can be used to reduce fat deposits, e.g., on the abdomen, hips, waist, face and chin. Breast reductions are also possible for men using this method.
If you decide to have liposuction done after a detailed consultation, please schedule an appointment with us at a date of your choice.
Surgery takes place on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia and takes approximately 1 to 3 hours, depending on the extent of the area where liposuction is performed.
When liposculpture, a special form of liposuction, is used, suction is carried out exclusively by hand in a gentle way. We never use suction machines or scalpels.
Thin microcannulas with a diameter of 1.0 to 2.5 millimeters are used or standard cannulas with a diameter of 3.0 millimeters upwards.
In general cases of excessive weight, liposuction can be helpful on problem zones where there are large accumulations of fat, in addition to medically assisted weight loss.
The Period after Liposuction
After liposuction was performed, you must wear a bandage for one day, then compression garments for 1 to 2 weeks and in addition an abdominal belt – when fat was suctioned off the abdomen.
After liposuction, you can usually go back to work on the day after surgery. In order that no one notices your little secret, you should wear loose comfortable clothing over the compression garments and abdominal belt.
If liposuction was carried out with microcannulas, the result will be visible immediately after surgery and, if the healing process is optimal, you can practice sports again normally after approximately 2 to 3 weeks. If liposuction was carried out with the somewhat thicker regular cannulas, post-surgery care will take longer.
All after photos show the results actually achieved by the treatment. To protect the anonymity of the depicted persons individual physical characteristics (e.g., moles, tattoos) might have been removed.
